Combo box dropdown property not working

From a previous post I found this information:

In the GotFocus event, you should need one line of code.

Private Sub Combo6_GotFocus()
Me.Combo6.Dropdown

I am using Access 2007. When I open a form I want the customer combo box to
automatically open. The focus immediately goes to the combo box but it does
not open unless I click on it or press F4. The code I am using is as follows
in the "On Got Focus" event of the combo box:
Me.cboPickCustomer.dropdown

Can anyone help me with this problem?

well then why not put it in the form load event?
