combo box only wors onece for lookup

I have a combo box to look up records on a form. For some
reason it will only work once. After that, onclick will
display the dropdown but the current record does not
change. If i delete and add a new combo box to look up a
record the same happens. Only one lookup. I use combo
boxes all the time in many ways and have never run into
this problem.

Any Ideas
