Combo box wizard stopped working

I am running Access 97 under Windows 2000 pro. Several
days ago the combo box wizard ceased functioning. All I
can do with that tool is make an unbound combo box. The
wizard itself doesn't work. I tried opening the same
database on another workstation and the Combo box wizard
and a third party add in that I us work fine. On my
workstation neither work. Clearly then the problem has to
do with my workstation. I reinstalled Access 97 with no
effect. What could be changed in W2K to cause this and
how do I correct the situation?

Thanks

On the toolbox there is a button that looks like a wand with a few sparkles.
When you click it, it remains clicked or unclicked (last state) until you
change it again. This button needs to be clicked to automatically engage the
wizards when you create a new control.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Boy do I feel foolish. I thought it was going to be something simple.
