combo box

Is it possible when using combo boxes in a data entry form to have the
previous chosen line appear in the next several forms and then change when
the user changes it? Ex. Using a data base to store serial numbers. the
combo box has a list of various models made. It the user would select say
trucks in the combo box and then scan in the serial number. The user then
tabs forward to the next form. Is it possible for trucks to be aready
displayed on the next form so all the user has to do is scan in the serial
number. But also be able to chance the choice in the combo box to say cars
and then have that appear in the combo box until the user changes the choice
again???????????????????
