Combobox selection is black with white lettering. Why?

Actually when I use the drop down list and make a selection I have to
highlight the selection as well as selecting it or it won't show in the box.
and of course when I do select it, it now is white on black rather than black
on white as required and this carries over to the related report as well. Any
suggs? Thanks very uch,

Right click the combo box, go to properties, go to format, change the fore
color and back color to what you want it to be.

It alrerady is the way I want it for colour selection, there just seems to
be a quirk with this CBOBox as the rest drop down when clicked and when I
select them they fill the box in the right colour. This box has to have the
selection highlighted to show in the box and then it is opposite colours. In
fact it doesn't have to be in the box to be the recognized selection, it just
has to be highlighted, the selection in the box doesn't affect the output to
the table just the highlighted selection does.
