comma disappearing

[Why is my comma disappearing?]

Lately when using Excel 2000 and Word 2000 my commas disappear.
After typing a comma then a space the comma disappears.

Help?

I suspect you have ' being replaced by space in Autocorrect. Check under
Tools>Auto correct options
