Command Button on Word

I have a letter with form fields that is locked except for filling form
fields of course. I also want to have a command button, that won't print
when the letter is printed, that will copy the body of the letter via VBA.

I created the command button, but i don't see the option from keeping it
from printing. Also, i can't protect the document now that I have a command
button on it.

Is there a reference for this or can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
Elbio

ok so i made a rookie mistake and wasn't exiting design mode after placing
the button the doc...I know i know...

However, I still can't get the button to cease from printing.

IMHO it would be much better to put your macro's button on a toolbar stored
in the template, instead of in the text of the document. Then you wouldn't
have to deal with this issue at all.

However, if you think it's worth the extra work, see

Hey Jay, so I can just have multiple users open the .dot (template) and store
the toolbar button will be stored within that template right?

That does make more sense! I'm thinking of storing the text in a text box
that i'll hide so i can ensure any formatting of the letter is preserved. A
string variable in VBA won't allow that functionality easily from my
understanding...

I appreciate your advice and welcome any more that comes to you! :)

Thanks again!

Hey Jay, storing it within the document's template is muuuuuch better!

Thanks!
