Command Button "search" not working

In accesss 2000 I have added a command button with binoculars to search for a
record but when I click on it, nothing happens. Any ideas?

Are you saying you placed a picture of binoculars on your form and want it
to do something? Access is not very smart ... you will have to tell it what
to do.

If you used the wizard to build the button, it should have created an event
procedure that opens the find dialog. The necessary code is:

DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdFind

You can create your own event by selecting the click event and pressing the
build button. Choose Code if you are given an option. The sub header and
footer are placed in the code module and the insertion point is fixed for
you to enter code. Just enter the line above, save and you'll be all set.
