Command buttons won't work!!!

I made a command button and I assigned it a hyperlink and when I tried to
open it with internet explorer it wouln't work! Why? (some friends say that
it is because my Service Pack 2 for windows xp - but I don't think so!)
I thank anyone who can help me!
