is there a program out there that you can run on a command prompt to access
Groove Web Services? i am new to SOAP and am very frustrated so i'm just
checking to see if there is a command-line program that i can just use for
Groove Web Services. is there?

One can write a console app (command line UI) to access GWS.
The GWS is independent of the UI - the SOAP calls are just a mechanism to
communicate with the Groove client.

Missing DOS, are we?

use the program i'm writing to access GWS but i can't figure out how to use
SOAP if my life depended on it so i'm wondering if anybody has aleready
written a console app that my program can use.

there's a console app using GWS written in Perl. This is part of the Groove
SDK (current version).
Look for 'LocalConsoleClient' under 'C:\Program Files\Groove Networks\Groove
Web Services Development Kit\Samples' (or similar installation directory).
