CommandBar & Reading Layout

My custom toolbar disappears when I switch to Reading Layout in Word 2003.
It reappears when I switch back to Normal Mode. Is there any way to control
this behavior programatically? Is there is an event that I can catch when
the
user switches to Reading Layout so I can set the Visible flag of the command
bar?
I want my toolbar to appear in all modes.
