Commas around recipient's name

Does this sound familiar? When viewing sent messages most of the recipients'
names have acquired 'commas'. So the sent to name will appear in the list
like this: 'John Smith' or even '(e-mail address removed)'. This is very
irritating and causes problems when sorting the list by sent to name.

Also... having migrated from OE6 I am used to getting a beep when mail
arrives but I have turned this feature off in Outlook 2003 because it does
not work reliably. Any advice?

Finally since I'm here anyway... Auto Archiving. I have Office 2003
installed on two PC's and cannot get Auto Archiving to work on either
machine. Is there a magic word or a bit of fancy programming required to make
it work. MS Support couldn't help either.

Can't help you with that one. Sorry.

What do mean by, "it does not work reliably"? Outlook 2003 offers several
ways to detect when new messages are received. Have you tried them? Try
using the Desktop Alert feature. That may work better for you. How about the
envelope in the system tray option?

Auto Archiving uses the "Last Modified Date" of messages when archiving. If
you've moved or even looked at some messages, that changes the last modified
date. For example, if auto archiving is set to archive messages over 90 days
old and you've moved those messages today, they cannot auto archive for 90
more days. For this reason, I find that manually archiving works best for
me. YMMV.
