Comment Boxes change size & position

Is there a way to stop the Comment boxes in Excel from changing in size or
position? Some of the comments are squashed flat, others stretch over several
rows, others have the arrow pointing to the cell, but the comment is 20+ rows
away???

Frank--Thanks for the web site! While my macro skills are small, I'll
certainly give it a try. My list is a list of clients with comments inserted
to keep the list all on-screen.

Is there a reason why, over time, the comment boxes change size and/or
position? The little pop-up comment boxes seemed like a perfect way to
provide this supplemental info, but maybe there's a better way?
