Comment boxes

As far as I can tell, this cannot be done, but I figured it couldn't hurt to
ask...Can a comment box be "assigned" to more than one cell?

to my knowledge: No

No, they can't be assigned to more than one cell, but they
can be copied to more than one cell. Select the cell with
the comment you want to copy. Select "Copy". Then
selct "Paste Special", "Comments" to copy into the cells
you would like to share the same comment.
