Comment lines in Org Chart import file

I'm using Visio 2003 Org Chart to import an comma/tab-separated file
with org chart info. Is there a way to designate a line as a comment,
to be discarded by the import function? Thanks.

By "line" do you mean a column entry that is a comment for each individual
row? If so, add a title to that column. The wizard allows you to ignore
columns of your choosing.
