We need to take our Office 2007 charts from Excel and save them as a .tiff or
..eps file for high quality printing. When I right-click and copy my chart I
can paste it into Photoshop, but the resolution is 72 (low quality).

Is there a way to get a high quality chart file?

Also, the chart is not the correct size. Is there a way to determine what
size the chart is in Excel.

Thanks!

Any bitmap format will be the same as your monitor's screen resolution. I
have output Excel workbooks in PDF format, and the graphic artist was able
to use the output for very high quality printing. I was actually very
impressed by the quality, given that the charts were not edited after being
placed in the PDF document, other than moving them into other PDFs which
contained the brochures that used the charts.

Thanks Jon, the "high quality" pdf is a good choice, but...

Any idea how to get the correct size? I know I'll need to make it the
correct size in Excel before making the pdf, but I have no idea how big the
chart is, any way to define the size of the chart?

Thanks.

Hold Shift, then select the chart, so it is highlighted by white handles on
the corners instead of black (you've selected the ChartObject, that is, the
shape that contains the chart). Double click on this to bring up the Format
Shape dialog, and go to the size controls on the Size tab.
