Communication error in activating office 2007

I've just installed office 2007 and encountered some problems trying to
activate it. I always get the message "A communication error has occured.
Your request cannot be processed at this time. Please try again in a few
minutes."

I've tried numerous times over a period of 1 hour and I get the same message
over and over again.

I've tried disabling my firewall totally for activating the software, the
same message is generated. And then I tried activating with my firewall on as
well, I was expecting a prompt whether to allow the program through or to
block it. It never happened and I got the same message again.

Wondering if anyone had the same problem and manage to solve it.

Try it again another day (tomorrow e.g.). I have seen several posts
about this not working in the past few hours. I am assuming that the
servers are having issues.
