Communication error on activiation

I have installed the Office XP suite on a Windows 98
computer. The computer is connected to the internet by a
constant ISDN connection. However, when trying to
activate by internet, I get a "communication error" and
the software does not recognize the internet connection.
Any suggestions?

Hi J.L.,

If you're running a firewall product check to see if it's
allowing Office/Activation to communicate, or use the
telephone activation method.
