Communication Protocal used by Outloook

I have some doubt on the Protocal being used by

Exchnge server 2003 & Outlook 2003 ,
Exchnage server 2007 & Outlook 2007

Your comments on this.

Outlook does remote procedure calls (RPC) to Exchange. These calls
generally happen over TCP in an IP environment, but the product does support
other network transport types. Check out
