Compact and Error -1601

I have been making substantial changes to the data base I
am developing; removing / changing keys, changing
relationships, etc. I have not discovered any unexpected
errors when I am working with the db. However, when I
compact the application, which seems to complete
successfully with a reduction in size, I get a message
about Reserved error (-1601).

I have tried importing the app into a new database with
the same results. Anyone have an idea what the problem is
and how I go about fixing it?

Your System Tables have most likely become corrupted which is NOT a good thing!
