I have a database that has a macro set to run a CompactCurrent.exe file
that was created for Access 97. Basically it just runs a compact on
the current db. I am now upgrading the db's to 2003 (they were
currently running in 2000, although originally programmed in 97).
1. Will this executable be ok as is for 2003 (it seems to be)?
2. Any ideas why the previous programmer would have done this when
programming it in Access 97? (i.e. did 97 not have a compact on close
option?)
3. Also, how would one go about making a compact executable in Access
2000?
Sorry so many questions... any help is appreciated.
