When you go to print an envelope whilst using Word - why
does the company field not appear - ie if i have an
address such as

Mr. A. Body
Microsoft
1234 anywhere street
anytown
anycounty

Name
Company
address

why doesn't the company field appear? how do you make it
appear?

Select the following block and copy it to the clipboard. Paste into Word and
save it as an autotext entry called AddressLayout - all one word.

{<PR_GIVEN_NAME> <PR_SURNAME>
}{<PR_COMPANY_NAME>
}{<PR_POSTAL_ADDRESS>}

I have a similar question. I have Word 2002. If I go to Tools, Letters and Mailings, Envelopes and labels and select Delivery Address (which pulls from Outlook), the address fails to include the Company Name but at the same time includes the Country. How do I modify this to include the Company Name but not the Country? Thanks.

It is my understanding that the Country information should only show for
countries other than the one setup in Windows regional settings for the PC.
They certainly don't show up on my PC for UK addresses (I am based in the
UK).

Thanks for responding. My computer is correctly setup for the U.S. Do
you know how to get the Company Name included?

You presumably saw my reply re the use of autotext as you replied to it.
That's the method to use. For the full range of fields that can be
incorporated in this manner, see http://www.gmayor.com/Macrobutton.htm

I apologize but I don't follow you. Where do I go to make these changes? Remember, what I'm trying to do is use the envelope feature found at: Tools, Letters and Mailings, Envelopes and Labels. When you go there an Envelopes and Labels window opens up. Next to "Delivery address" appears an "Insert address" button. It looks just like the "Insert address" button on the tool bar at the top of the Word screen. But it seems to work differently. As I indicated earlier, it does not pull the Company Name from Outlook and at the same time it puts the Country in the address text box. How do you modify the "Insert address" button that appears in the Envelopes and Labels window found under Tools, Letters and Mailings? I really appreciate all of your help.

The layout of the address can be modified by the use of an autotext entry
called AddressLayout (all one word) carrying special field information - the
fields are listed in the web site article. Typically if you copy and paste
the following onto a Word page, then with that block selected press ALT+F3
to save it as an autotext entry. Name it AddressLayout. The company
information will thus be added. The curly brackets are not true field
boundaries, but indicators of where the information starts and finishes and
are used to eliminate blank lines.
