Company info in Appointments etc

Call me blind or just stunned, however I am at a loss.

I would expect that when you view an appointment etc on your calendar you
would be able to see the associated Account Name or Business Contact Name
when you click on it. The way it is the Appointment is linked to the
Business Contact or Account, however if you double click on it the only way
to see the link is to click on Link to Record to see who the Appointment is
linked to and then cancel out of that and go to Business Contacts or Account
Name and open the record there to make notes of the Appointment or call if
you want them to appear on the record there.

Is there not a direct way to work in the Business Contact Record or Account
Record from the Appointment.

If I’m not clear here let me know and I will try to explain better.

Thanks for helping out in advance.

In order to be able to navigate back into a BCM Account or Business Contact
record from a linked Outlook Calendar or Task record you need to also
manually "reverse link" these items by using the Contact Field found in the
lower left of each Appointment and Task record item. Once this is done, a
hotlink is displayed here for you to click on and move around as you wish.
This is a little kludgy but remember that Outlook and BCM are 2 separate
applications made to appear like they are the same because the UI involves
similiar looking object items. As a workflow issue it would certainly be
nice if anything that is linked from any BCM record were automatically also
set up for 2 way navigation but unfortunately, this is not the case. This is
something that you will have to adapt to in your usage pattern and learn to
live with.
