I'm comparing two versions of the same document. One was reformatted, the
other was edited. (Two different users...)
No matter which direction I compare in (starting with the reformatted
version or the edited version), Word crashes before the end of the compare.
This happens on every one of my 25 document pairs.
The edited versions were all created and edited on Mac X. The reformatted
versions were all created on Mac X but reformatted on Windows with Word
2002. The compare is also being done on Windows Word 2002.
While I suspect I can extract out the text and just do a compare on the
text, I would really like to preserve the formatting of the re-formatted
version.
I've searched this newsgroup, the .docmanagement newsgroup, and the MS
knowledgebase, but have not found anything.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
J
