compare and merge workbooks

I have followed all instruction in MS help for merging workbooks. The
document being merged into the master is taking the data out of column n and
putting it into column O, thus overwriting everything in that column. Whats
going wrong??

Exactly what are you doing? Step-by-step? What do you have in each
workbook? What do you want to have after they are merged? HTH Otto
