Compare data in docs

I have Word 2002. I would have email addresses in one doc and need to
compare it 2 a second doc so as to eliminate duplicates. The second doc
would contain other data - names, dates, sources, etc...How can this be done
as precisely and quickly as possible?

Compare documents will not find duplicates.

Create your data as a Table in Excel, then check the Excel Help for the Find
Duplicates method.

You've landed in a discussion group for users of Mac versions of Word (not
your fault: it's a charming foible of MS's "discussions" web interface,
which I see you used). Mac versions differ variously from PC versions.
Although several people here use both PCs and Macs and may give you an
answer soon, it's likely that more people in a PC group have experienced
