Compare date to beg/end dates in another table, return id#?

I created a lesson plan form in Access. In my reports, I need to indicate the
week number of the school year. I built a separate table with the beginning
and ending dates for each week of the year and used the id# to assign week
numbers. In the lesson plan form, I want to compare the date of the lesson
plan to this table and return the week number to the form. How do I do this?

I am new to Access. I have only set up minimal queries and reports for this
lesson plan database.
