MS Office Student and Teacher's Edition is a promotional repackaging of MS Office 2003 Standard edition. Both are retail packages
but the licensing is different.
MS Office 2003 basic edition is a non-retail one that is intended to be included on new PCs and only has Word, Excel and Outlook and
is licensed to be used only on the machine it's sold with/activated on.
You can find the description of the Student Teacher Edition and the qualifications here.
