Compare Project 2003 Standard vs Professional

Sheri Withrow

What are the differences between the Standard Version and
the Professional Version. The only comparison I can find
is between Project 2003 Standard and Project 2000
Standard. I need to know what the benefits are of
Standard vs. Professional.
Can anyone help?

Microsoft Project Professional 2003 is meant to be used with Project Server
in an enterprise environment, while Microsoft Project Professional 2003 is
meant to be used in a nonenterprise standalone environment. If you want to
use Project Server, then you must use the Professional version. If you do
not intend to use Project Server, then you can use the Standard version.
Hope this helps.

I think he meant:
Microsoft Project Professional 2003 is meant to be used with Project Server
in an enterprise environment, while Microsoft Project STANDARD 2003 is
meant to be used in a nonenterprise standalone environment

They both schedule and behave the same way in a standalone environment. Only
spend the extra $ for pro if you are hooking up to project server.

Thanks for the correction. Sometimes I hit Send without reading the message
I'm about to send. Very similar to what I also do with my mouth, when I
speak without thinking about what I'm going to say! HA!
