Compare two documents

Hi,

I need to compare a bunch of documents for version control. Is
there a way to do this automatically with word through either VBA or
some function I'm not aware of?

I appreciate any insight into this problem.

Depends what you mean by 'compare' and what you want to have happen in
respect of the differences found.

I would record a macro while using the menu

tools
track changes
Compare document...


Or, antiword can extract the text from the command line and then you
can use diff. (google: antiword)

Or vb could save the document contents to a text file and then spawn the
diff command.
