compared the two types of export view and tool

I just tried the two type of export view and tool and found they are exactly
the same data that is being exported. I have tried this in version 3.1 and
2007 second tech release. Any idea when this may be addressed

I also tested it. The result is same as yours. It exports the fields
including the System Fields.

In Groove 3.1, the help content says that "Comma-delimited exports always
include all system fields (for example, CreateBy) in records, even if these
fields were not included on the form. "

In Groove 2007, it seems that it can hidden the System fields. However, I
didn't found this option. Maybe it will be included in the RTM version.

I will consult other person on this point later.

Based on my further testing, I found the menu (File menu > Export All Entries
Excel) and then there is the check box "Include System Fields". When you
uncheck it, the system fields will not be exported.

Are you able found the menu (File menu > Export All Entries > Excel)? It
needs Excel 2007 installed on the computer.

I don't know why the menu is not there on my computer and after re-login the
groove account, the menu is there on my computer.

I have created a simple form with the form tool to display _created, Name,
Surname.

I then added a record and then went to export. when I select the menus I get

File>Export all Entries>

I then get 5 options

1. Binary XML
2. Commer delimitated
3. Tabular Text
4. Structured Text
5. XMK (without attachement)

When I select Commer Delimitated option I have the folloiwng three choices

1. Choose which reocrds to export:
Export all entries in view
Export all entries in tool
2. Export records created using this form
(Drop down of forms)
3. Comma delimited style
(Check box Microsoft Excel)

OK or Cancel

The form was created in a 2007 workspace using the form tool.

The check box "Include System Fields" is not included in the menu File >
Export All Entries > Comma Delimitated.

Did you installed Excel 2007 on the computer?

If you didn't install Excel 2007, the menu should be:

File>Export all Entries>
1. Binary XML
2. Comma delimitated
3. Tabular Text
4. Structured Text
5. XML (without attachement)

If you installed Excel 2007, the menu should be:
File>Export all Entries>
1. Binary XML
2. Comma delimitated
3. Excel
4. Tabular Text
5. Structured Text
6. XML (without attachement)
