Comparing docs while ignoring whitespace

I'm using Word2003 and the Compare Documents feature, I want to see
just the real content changes, not whitspace or formatting differences.
Is there any way? Even turning off the "find formatting" checkbox it
still finds many whitespace differences that I don't care to see. Any
ideas?
