comparing work books

I'm looking to compare two different work books. I have nothing to go
off of to get what i'm looking for if some one could help that would be
great.

What i'm trying to compare is multiple bill of materials. I am going
to have a master for every class of boxes we build.

1 is there a way to take a bom from my email when it is emailed to me
from our engineer?

i have a file with all the emailed boms.

i want to compare so that it compares the two diffent workbooks and
highlights the differences. Here is the kicker when he does the bills
some have lines for the description and some of the parts aren't always
in the same order for example

1 it could be
1 ea 01140.9
2 ea ru6029

or

2 ea ru6029
1 ea 01140.9

example 2
4 ea sr3p
part of the description no part number in this line
1 ea 350
2 ea drtd2
3 ea sr2p

or
3 ea sr2p
4 ea sr3p
1 ea e350
2 ea drtd2

i hope you get the gist of it i want to include the quanity of each
the spaces = the seperation of the colums
so 1 in colum e, ea if colum f, part number(01140.9) in colum g

can this be done please help

i will attach a couple

You can put them in order by sorting them. There are more than a couple of
ways to make comparisons. What is the end objective? Do you want to
accumulate the quantities of each part number, check for ommissions or do
you just want to know if there is redundancy? By master, do you mean a BoM
that has all parts used and their quantities if one of each box was built or
do you mean just a list of part numbers?

by master i mean that with each box we have different series so i want
to take one of each kind to compare it to those to figure out if they
match any of those or not. i am comparing bills to make it so
everything that matches one another stays the same amount of time to
build. Make sense

So i am looking for things with no differences we have like 100
different boxes (panels) so this will help put them in more defined
classes and the time to build will not fluctuate so much.

And things with differences will go to be compared to others so on and
so fourth.

We suposably have many diffenent kinds of panels but i know we don't
there is nothing to say hey look you have used this before.
