compatability converter

Hi all. My freind sent me a word doc and i couldnt work with it. I had to
download a file converter which worked. Now my Microsoift updates is telling
me i need updates for the 2007 office system when im actually using 2002?
Any ideas ?

This is normal by default when you install the converter for the Office 2007 files. You either can ignore them by selecting the Hide this Update or you can download it and will do no harm
