Compatability issue

I have office 97 and have a prospective client that needs some documents
typed up in word, however, he has a Mac 2004. Are these files going to
automatically open up on his mac or is there something special I will need to
do? I would appreciate any advice on this issue. Thanks in advance.

Hi Barb,

The file formats are generally the same although you may need to be a bit choosy on what graphic file formats you include in the
file and some attention to the fonts used. For additional folks who would have experience on the Office:mac side you may want to
use the links below to also post the question in the Word:mac discussion group and explain a bit about the type of content you'd
have in those documents.

Bob,
Thanks for replying. The document is just going to be straight text, no
graphics, etc. Thanks again for your help.
