Compatability issues

I am using MS Office 2003 and noticed twice now, once
with PowerPoint and more recently with Word there is some
incompatability with previous versions. Any experienced
this?

In my case I created a document in Word2003, sent it to a
co-worker who modified the file in Word2000 and now
Word2003 cannot opent the file. I am open the same file
from another computer running Word2000, so I know the
file is not the problem. The error reports "Word
experienced an error in trying to open the file." Any
fixes out there, other than removing the new version of
Office?

Hi Gary,

You might try using the "Open and Repair" command found on the Open
drop down in the File/Open dialog box.

Hi Gary,

there is a hotfix which should solve your problem (I had the same
problems and "open & repair" does not help...
