Compatability Question

Joe Morton

Someone in my office is using Project 2007 while the rest of us are still on
Project 2000 (planning to upgrade later). It appears that the actuals for the
project entered in Project 2007 are not getting loaded into the resource pool
that was created using Project 2000.
Is Project 2007 compatible with Projects created in 2000 and with Project
Central 2000?

Hi,

The simple answer is No.
You can save as... your 2007 project in the 2000-2003 format and use that
version.

Thank you. Does anyone else concur?

Hi Joe,

I'm not sure this is relevant, but, yes, Jan is correct and I concur.

Projects created in Project 2007 need to be saved "down" to the
2002-2003 release. Project 2007 will not talk to Project Central.
