compatability ?

I have just upgraded from millenium to XP home edition.
I have installed office 2000 profesional but I can not
get microsoft outlook to work.

when I go to a new message ther is no "send" on the
toolbar.

When I open outlook ther is no send/receive.

please help its driving me crazy - I need outlook rather
than outlook express(which works fine) because I need the
calender, tasks etc.
