Compatbility issue

H

Hari

We are using MS Project Professional 2007 and Prj Server 2007. All the others
- sharepoint, outlook, active directory are from 2003. We have been trying to
include some sub-prj(with enterprise resources from AD) to a master project
and when trying to save, the application fails.
But when the projects dont have any resource names, and then if I try
putting them in the Master Project, it is working good without any problem.

Are there any know compatability issues with 2007 and 2003 versions? If so,
is there a list ?

Any input would be of great help as we approached a dead end.

Hari ,

Just a quick question , do you have all the service packs applied for
sharepoint, project server and project pro ? Other than that i suggest
you post your error msg here .

Hi Andre,
At the begining no. but one of the test farm has all the service packs. Even
on this test farm, the projects are acting the same way.

Surprisingly, the sub-projects will not fail when they dont have resources.
But when resources are included, the master proj crashes, during inserting
and saving the sub-projects.

Do you use the team builder to add resources to the schedules?

Hari

No we dont use team builder. Instead we use
Tools - Assign Resources - Click down arrow @ Add Resources
Select from Project Server.

This again takes to the same Team builder window.
