Compatibility 2003 vs 2007 One Note

Rob Orchanian

Hi:

1.) I have 2003 at work & 2007 One Note at home.

Does anybody have any suggestions to fix the compatibility problem besides
copying & pasting each page, etc.?

2.) I am a Mathematics teacher.
Has anybody used both One Note & Promethean Software?
I would like to know which is preferred in the classroom.

Regards,

Rob

Unfortunately there is no way at all to use notebooks under the two
versions if ON. It's an either ... or situation.
The file formats are totally different. So the files have to be
converted by ON2007 when opening a notebook.
And this is a one-way-street. There is no tools for converting notebooks
with the 2007-format to the 2003-format.

I'm sorry, I don't know know "Promethan" at all :-(

Hey Rainald:

Thanks!

I think I might pick up a 2nd copy for my school computer to solve the
problem.

I believe it's about $75.

Cheers,

Yes, this would be the only way.

I can't say anything on the price and the pricing schemes in the US.
But you might check if their are any "educational" rebates.

I don't think it's that much, at least if you hunt around. Also, if
memory serves, the Home and Student license gives you the right to
install on up to three physical systems.
