compatibility 2003 with 2k

I have 2 PC wireless networked and have the mdb installed
on the 2k version one. I mapped the appropriate 2kversionn
drive to read and work on the mdb from the 2003 version
one. I keep getting errors and it doesn't seem to find the
data. I have downloaded the fix for ado and sp8 for the
jet and checked out the sandbox but it is struggling.

Hi Del,

In these circumstances you should always suspect the wireless network.
Working with Access/Jet databases across a network requires a reasonably
fast and very reliable connection even by wired standards, and everyday
wireless networking does not always provide it.

So the first thing to do is to copy the mdb file to the new machine and
see if the database works properly when opened on the local drive. If
not, fix it before trying again across the wireless connection. Once
you've eliminated Access 2003 as a possible cause, copy the mdb back to
the old machine and see what happens.

This article http://www.attcanada.net/~kallal.msn/Wan/Wans.html explains
why Access/Jet needs such a good network connection and suggests
alternatives. The first part of the article is about speed, which is a
huge issue on a WAN but not on a lightly-loaded wireless network, but
all the rest is applicable.
