Compatibility issue

I have been using Outlook 2002 for years, as part of Office Professional
2002, utilizing Word 2002 as my email editor. I recently installed Word
2007, and find that I can no longer use it as my Outlook email editor.
Is there a patch around this , or must I also upgrade my Outlook to
2007?

To use Word as your email editor, Word and Outlook always had to be the same
version already. With Outlook 2007, there is no need direct need to have
Word installed as well as Outlook 2007 has only a single (new) email editor
based (which is based on Word 2007 but does not require it).
