I have noticed a problem when working with tables in Mac Word 2008. I have several documents that were created with Word 2003 on a Windows platform. If I open them in Mac Word 2004, the tables look just fine. But if I open them in Mac Word 2008 the cells in the last row of the tables have blank lines at the top of them, and the text that appeared when viewing with Word 2004 is now appears truncated and is not fully displayed. I can make some of the missing text appear if I try to backspace over it, but I cannot make all of the missing text appear or be editable.
Since I frequently exchange documents with users in the Windows world, this makes using Word 2008 a real problem if the documents use tables.
I am using the latest versions of Mac Word 2004 and 2008. I'm happy to provide additional details or screenshots if that would help. Has anyone else seen problems like this? Any suggestions for a fix?
