Compatibility (lack of) with Ipod/Itunes

Just got an ipod and I cannot load Itunes with Windows ME. The upgrade to
Windows XP is about $100 and I'm wondering if it's worth it to spend the
money on the system upgrade or just get a new PC. I primarily use my PC for
e-mail, storing pictures and would like to use it to store my music. Any
advice would be greatly appreciated!

.. If your system is that old (Windows ME), upgrading won't get you far. Do
yourself a BIG favor - get a new PC
