Compatibility Mode

I am working on a powerpoint presentation. I thought the receiver had
97-2003 version. So I changed my presentation to be 97-2003 version. The
file was too large when I tried emailing (almost 3 M). So I decided to copy
slides from the original (now changed to 97-2003). When I saved the new
presentation, I saved in the default. I opened it and the custom blank page
did not appear and some of the type had moved. Now my original is in
Compatibility Mode. How do I get out of that mode to continue working on the
master. How do I save a cut and paste new presentation so the graphics
appear?

To get out of compat mode, use Office Button | Save As and save as PPTX
(2007 format).
