Compatibility-MS Office 2000 Professional UPGRADE on XP

Hope someone can help me!

We are considering buying a new computer with XP
(currently have 95 & 2000 professional computers), but I
need to find out if our Microsoft Office 2000 professional
UPGRADE (we used Home Essentials 98 as our "qualifying"
software to use the upgrade) will work on XP.

I'm not about to purchase all new (and very EXPENSIVE)
software because of a move to XP.

Outside of buying it and trying it out myself, does
anybody know??? (I've blown about 4 hours today searching
for this info on their website with no luck.)

Thanks much!

Lisa

I've been using MS Office 2000 professional (upgrade) on Windows XP with no
problems since Windows XP was released.

The only part of your question about which I have no experience is using
Home Essentials 98 as a qualifying product. If it worked before, it should
work again.

Take care,

John.

TTBOMK (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) 'Home Essentials' has
*NEVER* been a qualifying product for *any* Office release.

IIRC, Home Essentials 98 included Word 97, which would qualify you for the
Office 2000 upgrade.
