Hello. I am looking for a little guidence....
My customer has 30+ computers runnning Microsoft Office 2003, with SP2
applied. They can not (yet) install SP3 for Office 2003, as their is an
issue with one of their 3rd party applications.
They want us to install the Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 file formats
on their computers - which is fine, we can do this.
My questions are...
1) If we install the Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 file formats on
their computers, while they are running Office 2003 with SP2 applied, and a
few months from now, the 3rd party vendor addresses the issue with Office
2003 SP3, and we then apply SP3 to their computers, will that break the
Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 file formats ?
2) Would having the Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 file formats already
installed cause any issues when we go to apply SP3 for Office 2003?
3) After applying SP3 for Office 2003, would we have to reinstall the
Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 file formats ?
Thanks in advance for your help.
