Compatibility Problems Powerpoint 2004, Powerpoint X and Microsoftgraph

Hello All!

I created some presentations in PowerPoint X with some graphs created
in Microsoft Graph. This was straight forward and all according to
the book.

Then, I changed to Powerpoint 2004, and the texts within the graphs do
not appear properly in Powerpoint. The last part of the text is cut
off, sometimes right in the middle of the text character. The funny
thing is, when I go to edit the texts in Microsoft Graph, the graphs
look correct and all the text is there. I managed to "trick" the
program into displaying the text I want by adding some spaces and a
period at the end of the spaces. The period is still cut off, but at
least this way I get the text I need. This is an improvised solution
and not compatible with other versions of Powerpoint, because they
will see the period.

Any advice how to fix this problem in a compitble manner?

Thanks in advance!

John

Hi again everybody,

I just uncovered an interesting point on this problem, if I change to
the arial font, all the text can be seen. For the graphs I'm using a
special font called "Futura Standard Medium" it's an open type font
from Adobe. And when I use this font, both Powerpont 2000 (Windows)
and Powerpoint 2004 don't show the graphs properly.

But why to the graphs look right when produced with Powerpont X and
not with Powerpoint 2004? Does Powpoint X do a better job of
processing OTF fonts?

Greeting, John
