Compatibility with Office XP

Thomas

Hi,
I bought a new laptop and it comes with OneNote preinstalled. I own Office
XP and do not wish to upgrade to 2003 as my needs are of a single normal user
(independant).
But I could use a program as OneNote.
Is there a compatibility problem? Will it work OK with Office XP (2002). If
not I will just erase it as I don't want the 2003 (and the spending of money
to Microsoft that begin to kill me as their programs (like Money 2006) are
always filled of flaws, bugs, etc...).
Thanks a lot

You can use OneNote just fine with Office XP -- HOWEVER, the integrations
won't work. Which means you won't be able to send e-mails from OneNote, or
create Outlook Tasks, etc.

But you can still use it to take notes, do research, etc.

As Ben mentioned, you'd be missing the integration capabilities between
OneNote 2003 and the rest of the Office 2003 suite. For my purposes,
the bulk of the integration deals with Outlook 2003, rather than the
rest of the Office suite. If you can get hold of Outlook 2003, and use
that with your OneNote 2003 system, you will probably be set. Outlook
2003 will work fine with the Office XP applications.
