Hi! I'm new to Mac and I just got the Office 2004. Simple
question: Does all of my jobs done with Mac Office can be
opened from a Windows based PC with Office?

Yes. MacOffice and WinOffice share the same file formats. Certain
features are single platform, but they are generally ignored.

Macros created with VBA 6.x may not compile in MacOffice, since it uses
VBA 5.0, but, with a very few exceptions (mostly to do with file i/o)
going from Mac to Win works perfectly.

General file compatibility is reasonable.

Graphics and multimedia can still cause problems.
(eg, graphics drawn in VISIO in a powerpoint presentation can cause
a lot of problems when opening on the mac.)
